3. MIDWIVES ROCK 2026

Enjoying, relaxing, eating fine organic food and debriefing …Being safe in the incredible temple space, walking in the mountains and enjoying the library…Just time to be….Oh and a party of course to dance and shake out all the stuff we don’t need…💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻❤️🙏

We will welcome the incredible Francoise Freedmen who has always been one of my heroes!

Read here a little of her work…

Birthlight, now worldwide, started with informal, small birth preparation classes taught by Francoise Freedman in Cambridge in the 1980’s. As an anthropologist at Cambridge University, Dr Françoise Freedman was asked to share parenting skills that she acquired during long periods of fieldwork with Amazonian rainforest people. Over two pregnancies and one year with her young family in Peru, Françoise learnt to be a mother in the Amazonian indigenous way. She also became apprenticed to the shaman midwife who cared for her. Back in Cambridge, the experience of having two more babies motivated her to bring together the best of western health care and the “nurture” imparted to her in the Amazon. Yoga, which Françoise had grown up with in France and trained in, and her background as a competitive swimmer, both offered avenues to adapt and convey her Amazon experience to Western parents’ lifestyle and aspirations.

Her message to us…. to the call to sit in circle with us…

Feeling very honoured to be associated with these thoughts… but really these are the Amerindian teachings we so need to hear and take on board. I was unexpectedly given the sacred mission to pass on what i received from them to people in my land, and now i am looping the loop and returning the old knowledge -which has been battered and violated in the name of healthcare – to the young Indigenous midwives out there- they are inspiring new leaders in their communities. Their resistance is heroic, it’s a worldwide movement we are part of, reinventing the wisdom from the wreckage all together. ❤️

Our next guest is Anna Begas who I am so excited to welcome to the Temple, a local practitioner and valued member of our community she has deep wisdom to share.

Anna is a Somatic Sexology Coach and Embodiment Therapist with 15 years of experience in deep therapeutic work.

Her practice is rooted in a deep connection to nature, boundaries, and the intersection of spirit and earth.

Anna works with individuals of all genders and couples to navigate the complexities of desire and intimacy. Her approach is grounded and honest, believing that we don’t need to be “fixed”, we just need the space and tools to reconnect with our own bodies and each other.

Title of Workshop:

Expanding pleasure & connection through pregnancy, birth & postpartum.

– Supporting women & couples to dive deeper into intimacy as they birth the next generation creating stronger bonds & stability in the world.

Workshop Content:

The Anatomy of Pleasure: Moving beyond “reproductive” anatomy to help women navigate and enjoy their changing erotic bodies and sensory needs.

We’ll discuss deepening connection as the family grows, whether it’s a couple’s first child or their fourth.
